Claudia's ART at the Canoe Museum

What an honour...my paddling story as an athlete, business woman and mentor sits alongside my slalom race kayak the one I paddled at the 1981 World Championships in Bala, Wales in the competitive section of the new Canadian Canoe Museum. Built by Keith Cummings of Merlin Boats in the small town of Yarker, Ontario this boat propelled me to the top of the world.   

And just behind me is a ceiling to floor banner of my daughter Katrina Van Wijk paddling her kayak over 85ft Toketee Falls in central Oregon. 

The Canadian Canoe Museum is shaped as the bow of a Canoe.

Located in Peterborough, Ontario the Canoe Museum has an incredible collection of canoes and kayaks, primarily from across Canada with stories, exhibits, workshops and a phenomenal gift shop. 

And the shop carries my art: Claudia ART - on pillows, notebooks, stickers and tote bags.   

A must visit, first the Exhibition Hall, then the Gift Shop...for every paddler!
